At Pohanka Lexus, we have a variety of luxury sedans for you to choose from. Two of them – the 2020 Lexus ES 350 and 2020 Lexus GS 350 – are comparable. Contact us to learn more.

Performance

In more ways than one, both vehicles stand out. While each has a standard 3.5L V6 powertrain, the 2020 GS 350 slightly edges out the 2020 ES 350 with 311 horsepower1 and 280 lb.-ft. of torque1 compared to 302 horsepower and 267 lb.-ft. of torque. However, mileage is in the ES 350’s favor. Its 22/32/26 MPG city/hwy/combined2 fuel economy rating is a slight improvement over the still-efficient 20/28/23 MPG city/hwy/combined3 of the GS 350. The GS 350 includes standard four-link rear suspension with gas-pressurized shock absorbers and a stabilizer bar, while the ES 350 incorporates multilink rear suspension with a trailer arm. Both improve handling, particularly as you make sharp turns while carrying weight or encountering challenging terrain. Plus, the ES 350 features standard FWD as opposed to the GS 350’s standard RWD.

Safety

Slight differences separate the 2020 Lexus ES 350 from the 2020 Lexus GS 350. While the GS 460 incorporates Lexus Safety System+4, the ES 350 adds Road Sign Assist5 as a part of the Lexus Safety System+2.06 so that it’ll be easy to identify when you need to stop, along with a number of other indicators alerting you to what actions should be taken next. Uniquely, the GS 350 includes a Cold Weather Package as an available upgrade, featuring amenities such as the water-repellant front-door glass that lessens the risk of ice impacting your vision. Though the ES 350 has an effective Preferred Package option, it doesn’t boast the same feature. And certainly not least of all, the standard Backup Camera7 with Dynamic Guidelines found on the GS 350 displays a view of what’s taking place behind the vehicle as you drive in reverse, while the ES 350 offers an available Panoramic View Monitor8 capable of capturing all the vehicle’s surroundings.

Technology

For entertainment’s sake, there’s much to be appreciated with regard to both luxury sedans. The 2020 GS 350 includes a standard 12-speaker Premium Sound System that amplifies noise for the enjoyment of you and your music-loving friends. The 2020 ES 350 demonstrates acoustic excellence of its own with a standard 10-speaker Premium Sound System. The Lexus Enform Navigation System9 with a 12.3-inch Display comes available on the GS 350, and is available on the GS 350. As a result, you’ll have no trouble finding your destination with subscription-free weather updates keeping you informed along the way. And, with Apple CarPlay®10 and Android Auto™11 features being standard on the ES 350 as opposed to the GS 350, you’ll find pleasure in being able to utilize numerous apps.
