Choosing the 2022 MDX might leave you a bit disappointed, as its 3.5L V6 engine only cranks out 290 horsepower and 267 lb.-ft. of torque. To further differentiate these models, we'd like to point out that the Lexus model comes standard with a 6,500-lb. maximum towing capacity2, while the Acura SUV only has a 5,000-lb. maximum trailer rate3 with an upgraded drivetrain. 

Exterior

While both the 2022 Lexus GX 460 and 2022 Acura MDX look stunning, an outer shell of a vehicle needs to be more than just a pretty package. Fortunately, the former model excels in this category in more ways than one! For starters, the GX 460 has roof rails4 standard on each trim, so you won't have to search high and low for a version that has this particular feature. As you would expect, the Acura ride only has this available on one edition. If you dread venturing through hazy or misty environments, there's no need to fret, since three of the four trims of the Lexus SUV have available fog lamps, while the MDX has it on just two. Lastly, we'd like to mention that the GX 460 has standard privacy glass for peace of mind. Unfortunately, the Acura SUV does not offer this amenity at all.

The Lexus GX 460 continues to assert its dominance by outshining the Acura MDX in terms of innovation.
