When it comes to three-row midsize luxury SUVs, there are plenty of options on the market. But we here at Pohanka Lexus are eager to show you just how the 2025 Lexus TX 350 stands up to the Acura MDX.
Performance
When it comes to having enough strength to carry your family around Alexandria, both of these models come close in some regards. The Lexus TX 350 is equipped with a standard 2.4L turbo 4-cylinder engine, which can push out 275 horsepower1 and 317 lb.-ft. of torque. In comparison, the Acura MDX has a 3.5L V-6 powertrain that nets 290 horsepower and 267 lb.-ft. of torque. There is a larger difference in the efficiency of each model. The TX 350 has a 21/27/23 MPG city/hwy/combined2 fuel economy rating while the Acura model has a 19/26/22 MPG city/hwy/combined3 efficiency rating. When it comes to hauling a boat to the Chesapeake Bay, the Lexus can do so as it has a 5,000-lb. maximum towing capacity4. In contrast, the Acura MDX has a 5,000-lb. maximum towing capacity5 as well but only with SH-AWD.
Interior
As you’d expect in a luxury SUV, both models contain plenty of comfortable amenities and space, but the 2025 Lexus TX 350 inches out the 2025 MDX with more potential and room. When it comes to staying warm during the winter, the Lexus vehicle has a standard heated leather-trimmed steering wheel to fight the cold. Its Acura competition has a heated steering wheel but only as an available option. Additionally, when it comes to the comfort of those in the back, the LX 350 has available captain’s chairs with heated capabilities while the other car doesn’t. If you’re looking to have enough space to put your weekly groceries, the Lexus model offers plenty of room with 97 cubic ft. of cargo capacity6 behind the first row. The Acura MDX only has 71.4 cubic ft.7 of room for these same parameters.
Technology
When it comes to the emerging advancements that can aid your drives, each of the models has plenty to offer you. When you’re traveling to the Oakmont Rec Center, both include standard wireless phone chargers8 that can keep your smart device at full battery without needing any cables. If you’re hoping to adjust your settings, both have standard voice recognition as well that can understand your commands and react accordingly to manage your infotainment. A leg up that the Lexus TX 350 has over its competition is its available Digital Rearview Mirror. This feature works by using a camera to capture the area behind you so that your vision isn’t blocked by anyone or anything in the rear seats, and it can be turned off if you prefer. If you’re hoping to see more of what the 2025 Lexus TX 350 and what it has to offer, you can contact us for more information.
