Performance

First of all, it’s important to mention that the RZ 450e is going to be the first ever fully electric Lexus model. They have released hybrids in the past but this is going to be a game changer. It will be equipped with a dedicated battery electric platform that has an estimated range of 220 miles¹. The battery will be on the floor of your Lexus, making it lighter so it has a more secure center of gravity. Next, this vehicle will introduce the all-new eAxle system which fully integrates the motor, transaxle, and inverter into one. This gave Lexus more space to consider for the interior design and what they can add to the vehicle.  

Specifications

The Lexus RZ 450e will have a total of 312 horsepower. This is quite high for an electric vehicle, and all from a 71.4 kWh battery. It will have an overall length of 189 inches, and measure 64.4 inches by 74.6 inches when the side mirrors are folded. Next, if you’re looking for something with character, it will have up to three distinct interior color options. They are Palomino, Thunderstorm, and Dapple Grey. Design

Last but not least, as mentioned before, there is now more space inside and out for the design element of the RZ 450e. The front cockpit was designed while inspired by the tazuna reins that are preferred by the Japanese. The steering wheel features various controls that can be synced to the available Heads-Up Display. You can control your music, phone calls, and even drive mode from here. The exterior was made while keeping the future and innovation in mind, while maintaining the traditional Lexus style. You will still get the traditional Spindle style; however, instead of it being solely on the grille, it’ll be on the whole body. Finally, this model is going to have available Ultrasuede-trimmed seats and an auto-dimming panoramic moonroof to let as much light in as possible.
