What Is Lexus Safety System+?
In order to achieve roadways without accidents, Lexus is doing its part. Enter Lexus Safety System+1, a proprietary technology suite that is standard on all Lexus models from 2020 onwards. With a large amount of newer models in stock, Pohanka Lexus is here to give you the rundown on how these advancements
Lexus Safety System+
At its base, the Lexus Safety System+ can best be described as four standard features that work to support mindful driving habits. When you step into a Lexus boasting this technology, you’re gaining access to attributes like the Pre-Collision System2 with Pedestrian Detection. Designed to alert drivers to the potential of a frontal collision with another vehicle or a person on foot, this can help avoid accidents even when the most attentive motorists are caught off guard. As you react, the Brake Assist3 feature can provide additional stopping force if it's detected to be necessary, and can potentially bring your Lexus to a complete standstill. You can enjoy several models with this version of the safety suite, such as the GX, and LX lines.
Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 and 2.5
Utilizing different technologies like enhanced radar and camera capabilities, Lexus Safety System+ 2.04 and 2.55 is able to bring these features to a new level, and even add additional perks to the package. These perks come in the form of Road Sign Assist6 and Lane Tracing Assist7. The former is designed to reinforce road signs by providing those behind the wheel with a reminder, be it a speed limit, a one way, or a stop sign. Not only does this alleviate the stress of momentary distraction, but it also allows drivers to focus on acknowledging the rules of the road ahead and giving them time to act accordingly. The latter of the additions allows your Lexus vehicle to track markings in order to help ensure that you’re centered along your intended path.
Additional Safety Features
Whether your ride is equipped with Lexus Safety System+, 2.0, or 2.5, rest assured knowing that a bevy of other features will be at your disposal as well. The available Lexus Enform Safety Connect7 will give you peace of mind by sending assistance to your vehicle in the event of an emergency like a collision or theft. If you spring for a backup camera8, you can see the road from a new perspective and avoid any obstacles while moving in reverse. If the path ahead is uneven, an available Multi-Terrain Monitor9 can also provide a glimpse both below and above your ride to help avoid difficult circumstances.

Effectiveness is dependent on road, weather, vehicle and sign conditions. Use common sense when using RSA and do not drive distracted. See Owner's Manual for additional limitations and details.
