The 2019 Lexus GS is a luxury midsize sedan that has been updated with a new powertrain for the 2019 model year. The LS is a full-size luxury sedan that has received updated interior features recently. Both of these vehicles are designed to accommodate up to five passengers, and they are available in several trims for the 2019 model year. With a closer look at what each model offers, you can more easily decide which model meets your needs.

Exterior Style

The exterior dimensions of the GS sedan are noticeably smaller than the LS, but you will notice minimal differences in the spaciousness of the cabins. The GS is a much more affordable model than the LS, but both have impressive style from bumper to bumper. They share a similar aerodynamic profile that gives them a sporty, aggressive look. The front bumper is the same, and they both have stunning Z-shaped LED headlights. The presence of the Z-shape is more pronounced on the LS sedan. In addition, the air intake vents, the front wheel wells and the sharpness of the side contouring are more substantial on the LS model.

Features

The GS and LS sedans share similar features for 2019, but there are a few differences. Similar features include a 12.3-inch color display for the infotainment system, voice-activated navigation controls, a premium Mark Levinson sound system, a digital driver’s instrumentation panel, Enform Connect, Smart Access, Bluetooth technology, voice command, a heads-up display, a remote touchpad and numerous additional features. The LS has a few additional features, and these include rear seat touchscreen controls, Alexa assistance, dynamic navigation, a surround-sound audio system and more.

Performance

As you try to decide which of these beautiful Lexus sedans to take home, performance capabilities may be at the top of your mind. While both models deliver excellence behind the wheel, keep in mind that different powertrains and mechanical features are present in the various trims for both models. For example, the GS is available in a 2.0-liter Turbo 4-cylinder, a 3.0-liter Turbo V6 and other options. One of the powertrains available in the LS model is a Twin-Turbocharged engine that offers 416 horsepower. You can expect your new Lexus to come with an automatic transmission, either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, an adaptive variable suspension, electric power steering, multiple driving modes and additional features.

The Lexus GS and the Lexus LS for 2019 are both stunning models, but you may find that one is more appealing to your unique needs and desires than the other one. By visiting our dealership soon, you can test drive both options and compare their differences in detail as you decide which Lexus to take home.
