The 2019 Lexus LX is back for the new year, and it's coming with some changes. This SUV made its debut back in 1996, and it has gotten better with time when it comes to appearance and performance. First things first, the front of the LX has been completely redesigned. This SUV sports a huge front grille that has been sealed. The vehicle's headlights have been redesigned thanks to their futuristic shape. These lights will posses LED daytime-running lamps. Its six-speed predecessor of a transmission has been changed to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Lexus is trying to make this vehicle more user-friendly. Other changes included are 21-inch wheel sizes as an option as well as a new rim design.
Performance
The 2019 Lexus LX will come equipped with advanced power thanks to its 5.7-liter engine. This engine is very efficient as it provides the right amount of power to tackle daily driving. This particular V8 engine will generate as much 380 horsepower, and its towing capacity is 7,000 pounds. This towing power comes from the SUV's 403 pound-feet of torque. Consumers can drive this vehicle on all surfaces because it possesses up to five off-road driving modes. Few competitors can match this power and performance capability. This power is also available at low 2,200 rpm.
Interior
Premium leather and wooden accents flow throughout this cabin from front to rear. The front seats have multi-adjustable power that provides lumbar support. Up to eight passengers can seat comfortably in this vehicle. Its perforated leather has been dyed all the way through, there's customizable storage, and there's ambient lighting. All occupants will love the huge 12.3-inch multimedia display, which takes up plenty of space on the dashboard. The 2019 Lexus LX also offers wireless charging, heated/ventilated-rear seats and backrests that host 11.6-inch screens.
Safety
The 2019 LX is loaded with a plethora of safety components. The 10-airbag system can detect whether a child is present. In this case, the airbag will not be deployed if a child is present. Lexus Enform Safety Connect keeps you protected via roadside assistance. There's built-in GPS as well as built-in navigation. The SUV's Panoramic View monitor provides a virtual look underneath the vehicle, and the Multi-Terrain monitor can detect changes in the terrain that you're driving on. Other safety features included are four-wheel drive traction control, Hill-Start Assist Control and power-assisted anti-lock brakes.
